it's amazing the amount of time and effort Democrats spend painstakingly critiquing their messaging while Trump just fires from the hip while his brain leaks out of his ears and it's good enough for 312 electoral votes and winning control of the entire federal government

Authoritarianism can only succeed when democracy fails to deliver for working people.

Authoritarian parties can only succeed when the pro-democracy parties fail to fight for working people.

We need a new democracy and a new party system which can represent working people.

American politics makes a lot more sense when you realize that the GOP is afraid of pissing off the GOP base, and the Dems are afraid of pissing off the GOP base, but neither party is afraid of pissing off the Dem base.

If I were running the DNC, there would be Democratic Party sponsored food relief banks across the country right now that specifically welcomed anyone regardless of party affiliation.

Along with the food, there could be voter registration and links to runforsomething.net

Sums it all up.
Debate teams follow a process to refine an argument until they “win”

If you’ve already won, why bother with rigor in your argument

When the output of the highest court in the land wouldn't pass muster coming from first-year law students, it discredits the institutional legitimacy of the entire legal system. Nobody can pretend they are at the apex of the profession, intellectually credible even when you disagree with them.

I'm glad Kimmel is coming back.

However, "free speech" where you can reverse government-coerced corporate censorship but only if your supporters make stock price influencing noise would be like a healthcare system in which you need a GoFundMe to go viral to afford treatment.

... wait.

They got rid of Kimmel because they realized they couldn't get rid of South Park, all the while the Daily Show knows they're cozy doing giggle sketch comedy and both sidesing authoritarianism.

Conversely, bet that John Oliver is gassing up the jet to leave the country after sunday's airing.

its kind of insane that we’ve been forced to watch rightwingers openly celebrate and taunt everyone over the death of people like trayvon martin for over a decade now and now they’re trying to grandstand over the one time it’s personally affected them and political project

Charlie Kirk spent his life‘s work and all of his energy and time targeting out-groups while arguing for a world in which gun massacres would be easy to enact, plentiful, and inevitable, and he became famous and wealthy doing it, and we’re now not supposed to mention that because it’s not polite.

this is just straight-up dictatorship and it’s repulsive and pathetic our newspapers and TV stations still won’t say so. there is no emergency. there is no precedent for this in US history. Trump is establishing military and paramilitary control of the capital

i'm kind of blown away by how obvious it is if you're, like, literate. at all. i don't even mean for books, i also mean for movies. i mean that if you have understood things at any point in your life, this is obvious. so it's weird to see people act like they don't understand it

YIKES
Rashida Tlaib is an antisemite. You have no issue with that. She has never once called out Hamas who has admitted they want to maximize civilian casualties especially children to turn people against Israel. She knows that Hamas uses people in Gaza as human shields yet she doesn’t care.

Honestly, not sure why white ladies are on here dredging up 2016 again, but this has got to be the most ahistorical, goon-squad level op, I have ever seen. I've never seen this much copium pumped through one thread.

Astounding.
