I love Co housing so much. Having a small tight knit community on your doorstep is just lovely. I know this isn't exclusive to cohousing and some streets or villages manage it, but i've never had this experience before in any place I've lived

I lived in Duwamish co-housing in West Seattle. By the time I moved in most of the original residents had moved on, but the consensus process and since of community remained.

You don't have to love all your neighbors, just enuf to get work done. Having the privacy of your own home helps.
i believe in cohousing. but I probably wouldn't do it with family. I need more than just familial bonds to make a community.

Last month, Altierra Builders founder and OPC member Jonathan Shack gave local members a tour of our new building, currently in construction. Each day brings more progress and members are scheduled to move in this fall.
