Today is the birthday of artist & letterer Hitoshi “Irv” Watanabe (Feb. 10, 1919-Jan. 1, 1993). He entered the comics industry during its Golden Age & became a very prolific letterer, working for a variety of companies, including DC, Marvel, & Lev Gleason Publications.
