Very happy to share this new article on Andes-Amazon tree diversity change. We found that over the last 4 decades, tree richness changed differently across the Andes-Amazon regions. Thanks to the many researchers across the world who made this possible!

TIBS @biogeography.bsky.social meeting in Aarhus was fun, lots of discussions were had, things were learnt, and the last diner in an open venue was a great idea. Thanks Hanna Tuomisto and all the organizing committe for a very successful conference! @fabrovillalobos.bsky.social @peeer.bsky.social

Thrilled to see the first #PhD chapter by @annaroennfeldt.bsky.social published in @natcomms.nature.com. This multi-region comparison shows that lack of #niche conservatism in #non-native #plants might be transient and potentially linked to dispersal limitations. doi.org/10.1038/s414...

I am currently participating at the TIBS meeting in Aarhus. If you are interested in macroecology, if you have questions about @ecography.bsky.social or the publishing process in general, or if you are a young researcher looking for advice, please come forward, I would love to talk to you!

Yes; the effects of drift do show up in our analysis, but we only had information of the immediately adjacent field, and a generalist index of pesticide use (TFI) in the county, so we are missing information on the other fields at the more local level

And because one good news comes with another, this other excellent paper, also led by another great ♀️postdoc @cbgpmontpellier.bsky.social with @g-fried.bsky.social was also published today 🧪🌐on agricultural intensification & ecosystem services by 🌿

This paper is far overdue, so I am very happy to finally see it published! We show that herbicides have noticeable impacts on plant communities in agroecological landscapes at the national level. Must read!
