Yes; the effects of drift do show up in our analysis, but we only had information of the immediately adjacent field, and a generalist index of pesticide use (TFI) in the county, so we are missing information on the other fields at the more local level

And because one good news comes with another, this other excellent paper, also led by another great ♀️postdoc @cbgpmontpellier.bsky.social with @g-fried.bsky.social was also published today 🧪🌐on agricultural intensification & ecosystem services by 🌿

This paper is far overdue, so I am very happy to finally see it published! We show that herbicides have noticeable impacts on plant communities in agroecological landscapes at the national level. Must read!

Really excited about what came in the mail today:

This from a young researcher who did her theses a few years ago @cbgpmontpellier.bsky.social demonstrating ways to use existing air monitoring devices and eDNA to monitor biodiversity at large scales.

My lab is renewing: Benoit finished his thesis in September, Léa is leaving in January, Jasmine, Rahil and Ilhan are just starting. A change in season is always a little bit nostalgic, but full of hope and opportunity for the future. 😁

I am very happy to assume my new role as EiC in Ecography. This represents a huge honor to me, thanks to @miguelbaraujo.bsky.social and @nordicoikos.bsky.social for the trust they have put on me, and to all the editors and authors who have made of this journal what it is.

A bit late, but of course also very proud of Benoît! I am sure he is going to do great things wherever he goes. And a big thanks to all committee members!
