What a better way to start a Monday than with the second part of "A Jam's list to 2026 releases"?

Second part of my most awaited titles for 2026 and that I hope to cover in the blog (depending on review copies and all):

I think I’m the luckiest debut author in the world to get such a gorgeous cover. @eleonorpiteira.bsky.social brought “The Bloodweaver’s“ main character, Kerick, to life in such stunning, intimate detail that I’m still pinching myself over it.

This is real life, right?
Here's the cover illustration I did of 'The Bloodweaver' by @cnkuster.bsky.social , for Podium Publishing!

The MSNBC commentator saying that most political violence has historically come from the left just once again showed how we suffer from failing to learn history. Lynching, pogroms, race riots, the political violence that ended Reconstruction, and against the Civil Rights Movement. Come on.

Meet Emiel! He’s the third and final sibling in my novel, THE BLOODWEAVER, a story about siblings who must navigate the increasingly volatile landscape of a world divided by new magic.

I drew this using a Wacom tablet, Photoshop, and brushes that emulate soft pastels. It took me about 35 hours.

Hello #Booksky! This is Mel, a protagonist in my novel, THE BLOODWEAVER. When her girlfriend gets arrested for Bloodweaving, Mel will do anything to keep her from harm, even if it means posing as a Bloodweaver herself and forging ties with her captors.

I drew this myself. No AI was used.

OMG can we bring back the thorn for the singular they?! My little nerdy language loving heart would LOVE to be like “My pronouns are she/þey.”
The first known use of singular “they” is so old that not only does it pre-date singular “you,” it wasn’t even spelled with a “th”

When William and the Werewolf, in 1375 CE, used singular “they,” it was spelled with a Thorn

When I was growing up, the word “skeet” meant something different.

This interview is awesome! Can’t wait to read the new novel, The Haunting of Room 904, soon!!!
Hey there, since bluesky is blowing up, I thought I'd repost this interview I did with Macmillan library for my forthcoming novel #TheHauntingOfRoom904
"Haunted by her sister’s death...paranormal investigator Olivia Becente has been asked to help solve the mystery of the deaths occurring in room 904...where every five years a woman appears in the room with no memory of how she got there, and two weeks later reappears in the same manner and dies."

Gaaaaaaaah, THANK YOU, @erikatwurth.bsky.social !!!
Dude. Editors. This is one of the smartest, most fun fantasy novels. I’ve read in I don’t know how long. The world building is glorious. The characters are people you’d follow to the ends of the earth. And the ending? DUDE
