I will never forgive sitcoms where a woman starts off not wanting kids and is convinced to change her mind, worst trope

I don't want to be rude to this very positive message but I think we should aim higher guys
If you read a book this year, im proud of you 🫶🏽 reading and literacy has become an act of rebellion in such an illiterate world

I actually think a big problem with "discourse" right now is that we think the pinnacle of activism is posting popular stuff online. It's OK to use social media to chill out
i think something missing in all the "liberals need to come back to twitter. actually everyone needs to transition to video content" discourse is that some people aren't logging on to social media to change hearts and minds. some of us are just talking shit

I remember a time when my social media was filled with people doing amazing biscuits decorating like this, I miss it

So I also don't want kids but when women talk or post photos about the difficulties of pregnancy and childbirth, can we stop with the comments about "thanks for the free birth control" "I could never" "where's the girl with the list" etc etc it's so rude

I want to get a gym membership - does anyone know if it's cheaper to get it now or in January? Does it make any difference?

We hear about the legitimate concerns of white working class communities a lot from the British hard-right, think they’ll care about these horrific and very legitimate concerns?

Being a black baby in the UK shouldn’t make you 81% more likely to die in the NHS www.theguardian.com/world/2025/n...
Babies born to black mothers 81% more likely to die in neonatal care, NHS study shows
Analysis of England and Wales units also finds 63% higher risk to babies whose mothers live in most deprived areas

Yes! If a single positive thing comes out of the chaos of politics rn I believe it could be PR
So either Labour need to ask candidates to step aside for the Greens to take on Reform....

Or actually bring in a fair democratic process where everyone's votes count equally.

It's time for Proportional Representation.

Maybe I'm missing something about the Platner issue, I haven't followed it from the beginning. To me it seems like he got a pretty common symbol tattooed, not realising it's also commonly associated with Nazis, and then covered it when he found out it was. Surely that's OK?

I've long wanted to direct a play of the Stepford Wives but based in Essex (with the wives as classic WAGs). I don't really have any means to do this so you can have this one for free

When your whole election campaign is about how you're not the Tories, I wonder how it would work out to get elected then become the Tories
Labour MPs are getting battered at karaoke and WhatsApping each other shit emojis "to bond over how grim it all is."

They won 411 of the UK's 650 electoral seats just 15 months ago.

The global whaling industry experienced a boom c. 1840-1950 as technology allowed whalers to hunt the Southern Ocean around Antarctica.

Under standard models, we would have expected krill populations to have *exploded*.

Instead, they DROPPED exponentially.

Let's talk about the KRILL PARADOX.

Genuinely I haven't used amazon in years
I promise you, no matter how inescapable it may feel, you can actually stop using Amazon. Like, sure, you've got gift cards or credits or whatever, use them up. But you absolutely do not need to use Amazon for just regular life purchases. You can get things at a store. I promise.
