I'm glad folks have finally calmed down from turning their anger against furry cons and are finally showing some understanding of the position they're in but I'm still seeing a lot of those people insist cons need to be "educated/informed" and like. Please. No they don't. Please leave them alone.
And also you do not need to @ convention social media to "inform them of what's going on". They know. They're in the same community as you, con staff are majority queer just like the rest of the community. They see the same news stories as you.

This. If you abandon your rooms, guess what? The hotel STILL gets the money, it'd just be the furry convention paying the cost.
I'm all for protesting companies for supporting ICE, but please make sure you're not hurting or killing our community's conventions by doing it, is all.

If you're gonna protest Hilton siding with ICE, I highly suggest you guys do some mutual aid shit to keep your favorite fur cons from sinking because of breaches of contract. Sadly, a common part of convention contracts is getting butts in rooms (hence, room blocks at special rates).
I know it's a LARGE number of furs, but if you have a Hilton reservation for @furryweekend.com find an alternative and cancel it as soon as you can
