Fossil fuel extraction at Rosebank makes no sense, we have an obligation to lead the world on net zero | LBC
The Labour Government will soon face a critical choice on whether to allow the extraction of fossil fuels from the Rosebank oil and gas field in Scotland.

Yesterday I challenged the climate denial and delay from the Conservatives and Reform UK. Calling science 'garbage' and net zero 'impossible' isn’t just wrong — it’s dangerous. Only Labour has a credible plan to tackle the crisis and create tens of thousands of good green jobs. 🌍⚡️

Today we launch the ‘Goals for a Fair Energy Transition’.
The need for the government to manage the UK’s transition away from oil + gas production to renewable energy is now urgent.
The transition can only be deemed successful if workers’ futures are secure.

Britain wants energy independence.
Those who oppose this Government’s path to energy security are standing in the way of that independence.
They’re standing against lower bills, high-quality British jobs and an end to vulnerable imported energy.
