Spent last week at the microscope 🔬✨, and seeing arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi up close for the first time—hyphae, arbuscules, vesicles—was absolutely mind-blowing. Small but mighty partners of plant roots 🌿. Sharing a few of my favourite shots.

it's #WorldSoilDay2024 so I'd like to introduce you to Roamer's wood! We sample soils 6x p.a, & are long-term archiving the samples. We hope to find ££ to look in detail at what happens to soil microbes as a new woodland develops. @clairemb.bsky.social
