Senator Schumer is no longer effective and should be replaced. If you can’t lead the fight to stop healthcare premiums from skyrocketing for Americans, what will you fight for?

I’m no political strategist or anything, but I feel like a bunch of people willing to use starving children as bargaining chips probably won’t honor any promises you make with them.

Establishment Democrats have always been collaborators. This is all on purpose, it is not an act of cowardice, it is an act of the same collaboration they’ve always done with this fascist party.

Tonight is a glaring reminder that gerrymandering this spineless party into power isn’t a viable fight for democracy.

It further erodes democracy while allowing Democrats in Congress to have even less of a backbone.

Fight for fair maps.

Casual reminder that the myth of “pulling yourself up by your bootstraps” is a cruel hoax designed to convince poor people from all walks of life that the injustices they face are a result of their own actions, rather than an oppressive system rigged against them.

Government is shut down. Chaos in airports. 42 million going hungry. 24 million face skyrocketing healthcare costs. Economy in turmoil. And the president of the United States is in the Fox broadcast booth calling plays for a football game.

I’ve come to believe that we need to gather considerable forces and a campaign to demand the removal of face masks by ICE, Border Patrol, FBI and police.

It is a practice in conflict with the principles of transparency & accountability that are central to the concept of democracy.
Video on social media shows an immigration agent pulling a gun in Little Village and holding it to the side — which is not an appropriate or safe way to hold a gun. (Among other issues.)

Thinking about the social stigma against eating fast food in a country where poor people are being starved by the govt, the cost of groceries and fresh vegetables are astronomical, and a cheeseburger at McDonald’s costs $3.50.

“Clean” and “healthy” eating rhetoric is racist, ableist, and classist.

I remember when I was in college my mom told me about an article she'd read where a group of millionaires and a group of middle-class people were asked the same set of extremely basic questions and all the millionaires failed. stuff like "how much does a stamp cost" or "where's your nearest library"
The other weird thing about having met actual millionaires and billionaires is having wealth doesn't actually mean they are smart or have their lives together. One guy struggled to do basic things like book travel or dress up for dates. Kevin O'Leary has the charisma of a cardboard box.

NEW: I’m calling on Trump to cancel private jet flights instead of commercial airlines.

Private jet flights often take a single billionaire passenger, but still put real strain on our air traffic control system.

😂😂😂 my hubs got me Frango mints from Macys for Christmas. My favorite. But then asked “where should I hide them?” There’s nowhere that’s safe from me in our home if I know they exist.

I’m so weak for chocolate and good wine.

100% sure a Christmas present for me was delivered today. But bigger box than it should be. And I have to send links to hubs but they’re options only. But maybe he bought them all?

And I already gave him a tee I bought for him because it was so nice.

I think it’s important to reiterate that if you do not feel much of an impact of the government shutdown so far it’s because hundreds of thousands of people are still going into work and doing their jobs without any certain promise of payment.

That’s not a status quo that can or will last forever.

The more I think about public education, climate change, science funding, the more I realize that Republican policy is predicated on the illusion that you can harm others in your environment without harming yourself.
Possibly some who don't know the definition of 'economic'.

The people they hate are "getting what's coming to them" so things are going great for them!

That makes them happier than affordable food, good jobs, or a cleaner, safer environment for them and their children
