The preseason college football rankings were really, really wrong

See how each team over or underperformed the average regular season winning percentage for teams that have earned the same preseason ranking.

@gameonpaper.com Do the previews for games stay somewhere after a game is played or do they disappear? I wanted to compare the profile of a game before and after to pinpoint some statistical aspects of the game.

The next Democratic president should declare that the National Emergencies Act and Article II of the Constitution allow him to:

•admit D.C. and Puerto Rico as states
•abolish ICE
•grant citizenship to any immigrant
•disband the 5th Circuit
•expand the Supreme Court

Seriously: Why the hell not?

There’s no “reversion.” The War Department was abolished, its functions reorganized, and new institutions like the JCS and the NSC created under a new entity called the National Military Establishment (NME) before *that* was renamed the Defense Department… by law.

@gameonpaper.com I can't get to team pages for the 2025 season, do those profile pages exist yet?

@gameonpaper.com have you ever seen an EPA/penalty type stat? I'm trying to find something that could quantify (to some extent) the impact of penalties. I thought it'd be a nice extension of the simple penalties/game and penaltyYDS/game that people look at.

I mean, people aren't ready for the truth. But there's a plot against America. It's not the Russians. It's a group of White South African Neo-Reactionary Mobsters. And JD Vance is their handmaiden. Vanity Fair reported on this years ago. But nobody cared.

The question, as always with Trump, is NOT, "Is it illegal?"

The question is this: who will STOP him?

Asking whether or not it is legal is about 12 steps behind with Trump. Who will enforce this? What are the consequences to everyday people?

We can spin this however we like. We can be optimistic that things can still be salvaged. But the plain reality is that Trump monetized the presidency, collaborated with foreign enemies against domestic actors, & tried to steal an election multiple ways, including violence. And we did nothing.

Really great work from WSJ.
Chinese hackers (actually, cyber operators) gained control to shut down U.S. ports, power grids, and other critical infrastructure. Intrusions were severe, with key details lost permanently due to erased logs and inadequate tracking. www.wsj.com/tech/cyberse...
