Catherine O'Hara on Jiminy Glick. She's just firing stuff at him left and right. She makes up a negative review he wrote about her!

If you could see the “artist’s intentions” you’d probably wish you couldn’t anyway. Nothing is so deathly to enjoyment as the relentless march of a movie to fulfill its obvious purpose. This is, indeed, almost a defining characteristic of the hack director. (1969)

There are people who haven’t quite loomed up the way they may, but who, in small roles, like Catherine O’Hara, do stuff you’ve never seen before, like what she did in BEETLEJUICE. I mean, she’s an amazement. (1992)

And finally, the Margaret Meehan Super-Cut. Her facial expressions alone are a master-class, and then we had 40-45 years of brilliant comedy (and occasional drama) after that.

I was numbly devastated, but then “A Kiss At the End of the Rainbow” popped into my head, and now I’m sobbing.

I have some information forthcoming on that as well as ICE’s failure to report certain things and it is not good.

Happy birthday to the great John Boorman, whose terrific Projections book series in the 90s, collections consisting of filmmakers writing about filmmaking and film history, were fascinating and formative for me as a teen cinephile in the 90s and should absolutely be reissued.

The rent money has now been donated, but let's raise this family a little more. They are going to need grocery delivery, diapers, an extra cushion of money for a family sheltering at home w/ no income for who knows how long. Hell, let's raise enough $ for them to enjoy some small luxuries.
I got the sweetest, saddest email from Maria, who is trying to raise just $850 to pay her rent because her family is not able to leave the house for their own safety.

We gotta help that cute baby.
