“I Am A Guac, I Am An (1,000) Island” is one of my favorite Bob’s Burgers specials.

That’s just operating on a certain level.

Well the phrase “married […] adviser to Jean-Marie Le Pen” carries some water here for sure. Huh!

Fun follow-up, they delayed our departure enough to cause a misconnect in LAS so we will not be doing that. Got to add another family Christmas gathering to the agenda, so I guess we’ll take it.

“If there’s a linchpin that will determine the success or failure of the event, it is the functionality of the Northeast Corridor and Amtrak’s willingness and preparation to handle challenges,”

Ah yes, in a country well-known for its recalcitrance to fund non-automobile transit, this will go well.

The days of the week and such have lined up unusually this year, and it’s quite nice. Chris and I have taken over my parents’ kitchen and cooking for the full week ahead is well underway.

Changing the Raspberry Pi that I use for PiHole to use Docker (because it hosts a couple other exceptionally nerdy projects) and am considering renaming it to DockerHole, but my gosh I don’t think that’s going to pass any focus group branding tests.

If DOD claims its aircraft was in dangerous airspace and thus did not want to give away its position, then DOD needs to explain why JetBlue was unaware of the airspace danger.

And again, the military waiver from ADS-B req in DCA was for national security.

It can be a convenient DOD designation.
A JetBlue pilot changed elevation to avoid colliding with a U.S. Air Force plane in the southern Caribbean on Friday, he told air traffic controllers.

The New York-bound flight was leaving the island of Curaçao, just north of the Venezuelan coast.
‘Outrageous’: JetBlue pilot describes near-collision with Air Force plane off Venezuela
The airline pilot told Curaçao air traffic control that “we almost had a mid-air collision” with an unidentified military aircraft.

PSA: Trader Joe’s has these great potato chips from Ireland. There are two kinds. One is garlic butter, and the other is bleu cheese. One is so delicious, and the other tastes like shit — especially because when the packaging is *so similar* you can inadvertently buy the bleu cheese and take a bite.

Just hung up a call and noticed the readout of the duration.

Remember when we’d say “bye!”, and then look at the readout of the duration because *that mattered*?

I mean, that’s not nearly how old I am, but it hadn’t struck me how that’s as vestigial as rotary phones with cords four miles long.

Weird to go to bed reading about the Brown shooting. Waking up to news about the Bondi Beach shooting and to be heading to bed reading that Rob Reiner and his wife were apparently stabbed to death.

I hope everyone affected finds some kind of peace.

The only coin-toss kinda thing I guess wrong on as consistently as “which way does this USB-A connector go into that port?” is “you reckon this function is 0- or 1-indexed?”

Wrong and no!
