#CitySquareStation (while exploring new stations on the Melbourne #MetroTunnnel). Although the platforms are disappointingly similar (the same?) as #StateLibraryStation, the unexpected tree columns are great.

#Beamafilm Orlando, 1992. Lovely film with refreshingly unfussy gender blending. Sally Potter was influenced by Peter Greenaway’s lush & idiosyncratic period films and Derek Jarman’s low budget creative anachronisms. Tilda Swinton is mesmerising with her 4th wall-breaking glances & asides.

#Netflix Stranger Things, Seasons 1-5, 2016-25. While S1 is still the best, I liked the follow-ups more this watch - S4 jumped the shark after all. S5 brought the whole agglomeration to coherence, while still leaving questions. The final episode has Return of the King syndrome but they’d earned it!

#Netflix K-Pop Demon Hunters, 2025. Outrageous bite-the-hand-that-feeds-you animation that has so much fun sending up K-pop while serving K-pop with OTT animation that it wizzes by before you know it. I loved the pet tiger and its 6-eyed magpie companion, based on traditional folk images.
