On Thanksgiving, the immigrant children held at the Dilley detention center gathered in the gym for what they thought was a holiday feast.

The kids salivated over a spread of turkey, sandwiches, pastries and pies, a family told me.

But the food wasn’t for detainees — it was for the staff.

I shouldn't laugh, but there was a news blurb about the DOJ suing Harvard again, and it had a picture of Pam Bondi.

My mother, who is facing some dementia issues, swore furiously that it was Maxie Jones, a returning character from 20 years ago on General Hospital.

This series continues to work better for me than expected, though as usual, communication is the main problem.

Dudes just gotta talk.

I've long learned to ignore political rags for a whole host of reasons. But TNR is just hilarious here; fronting the white guy, "lightening" Crockett, and kind of "also mamdani" as he leads one of the biggest cities out there.
"If one can get a Nazi tattoo innocently, then Platner almost certainly did.

There is nothing in any of the statements that Platner has given [...] to suggest that he’s a bigot either, though he did write some bad stuff about Black people and women on the internet a few years ago. "
These Are Not Your Father’s Democrats
Some are left, some aren’t. But what they have in common is that they are ready to rumble. It’s the Democratic Tea Party, with a twist.

LOL

"Let’s get this out of the way: Graham Platner isn’t a Nazi. He had a Nazi tattoo, sure, but he doesn’t anymore. He got it covered up in October, a few days after the world learned about the Totenkopf symbol he got inked on his chest in Croatia while on military leave two decades ago"

Every morning is now a roll of the dice as to whether my mom remembers who I am.

Today I'm just being referred to as "kind sir" until it all comes back later this morning.

Like it or not, America is a load-bearing pillar of the global economy and handing power over to a bunch of people who value online grifters over scientists has dire consequences. They should be trying Vinay Prasad and RFK Jr. at The Hague.

It's really hard to fathom sometimes, I think, if you grew up in the US market.

Netflix has 325 million subs. 50% of those watch anime.

Crunchyroll has 17 million subs.

So many things that have been US-run, or originated before becoming global, have felt like that're freakin' cartels these days.

Glad to see more attempts at breaking power from the hands of a few.

Many Americans are going to hate the next couple of decades as more and more of the world decouples from us in a lot of ways.
I get your point, but this is a very, well, provincial american view. When looked at in a global context, it's no a surprise.

It's similar to the reactions people have about Netflix getting shows. It may feel underserved in NA based on our past understanding, but succeeds well globally.

Here's one where the flow of the SFX needed to be overhauled a little. In Japanese the コ゚ wraps around Khrome, so I opted to have it come down from the other direction a bit. It's also practical, since I didn't want to have to redraw his legs and placed the W conveniently.
