No. No. No. Given the direction of travel demonstrated by this govt we can’t trust them or anyone that follows them.
As Labour proposes limiting the protection of the ECHR, we must remember what it was set up to do; protect us all from abuses of power by our govts.
Be v wary then of anyone calling to do that. You may not be the target now. But why shouldn’t you be next?

I saw a quote the other day, pointing out the fact that, all over the world, men need laws to tell them they can’t marry children, and how we really should be examining why that’s necessary. It’s a question that deserves more thought.

They hate what the Beeb provides as a public service broadcaster free at point of use. The website in particular. It may be broken but it’s ours. And it needs restoration and protection from future political hijacking.
