The Lies Get So Tedious

We live in a civilization that was built on lies, is made of lies, and is sustained by lies. As soon as the lies stop, the whole thing comes tumbling down.

Today marks the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau by Soviet troops in 1945, now recognised as Holocaust Memorial Day.

We remember the millions lost under the Nazi regime and other genocides that followed, and recommit ourselves to fighting all forms of hate.

There’s something weirdly convenient about discovering that Britain is broken only after you yourself have spent years running the place.

A coincidence, I’m certain.

(Warning: Swearier than usual).
Britain Is Broken. No One Knows How. No One Was There.
An amazing coincidence involving five former Conservative MPs who have shambled over to Reform UK. Weird.

Each new defection confirms it: the old two-party system is dead and buried.

Under FPTP, this means chaos.

We can't keep pretending nothing has changed, stick with the same voting system and expect voters to still have trust in our democracy.

We need PR before it's too late.

In a world heavy with sorrow, we hunger for what sustains us: joy like bread, hope like water, kindness like shelter. Each act of compassion becomes a small rebellion against despair—a deliberate choice to build bridges where others erect walls.

It was moving to see the outpouring of support and offers of help for a man we featured last weekend who had fallen on hard times and was sleeping in a Liverpool park.

Pleased to say that following our article being published, he has been found accommodation to take him off the streets.
