Doctors and aid workers largely became the de facto journalists on the ground in Gaza when Israel banned international news media and began systematically assassinating Gaza-based Palestinian journalists. So Israel wants to get rid of those de facto reporters to hide its crimes.

I would be a lot less anti sports if it wasn't such a well known method for the rich to rob taxpayers without their consent.

Women with sons in particular cannot go to shelters if their sons are 12 and up to protect the women and girls living at the shelter. They cant go to coed shelters because men are monsters. They cant be on the street openly for the same reason.

And to those scoffing at the idea that homeless people stay in hotels: when shelters are full, local agencies regularly place clients in hotel rooms. Many unhoused individuals also have jobs and cycle between hotels, cars, friends' apartments, and the street.

HHS is trying to force Seattle Children's into doing a Sophie's choice of abandoning trans youth or see kids with cancer or other serious illness have their coverage and care disrupted. That's what this is about.
Hopefully, the courts put a quick stop to this like the subpoenas.

Today I watch Return of the King, read finish rereading The Hobbit, make huevos rancheros de Nuevo Mexico para cena, & start my reread of The Two Towers.
I’ve rid my life of a lot of negative energy this year, relearning lessons previously “mastered.” May the lessons hold in 2026.
