Probably one of my favorite scenes in all of television history.

The directing, the writing, the performances, the editing, the whole mood of it is just extraordinary.

Late stage capitalism is creating new disabilities in people and also endangering the lives of those who are and will become disabled.

All forms of marginalization are disabling and once you’re disabled most people will think of you as disposable.

We can’t fight fascism without disability justice.
If you’re a leftist, you need to be discussing disability rights because it’s one of the most pressing issues of our time. People are becoming more and more disabled in a society that has been allowing high risk people to die. Eugenics is happening RIGHT NOW!!

One sickness in the last 5 years (aside from one COVID infection) here. Allergy & hay fever symptoms almost non-existent. Masks have made my life so much better.
I haven't had a sinus infection since 2020. a $2 mask has really changed the game.

Americans couldn’t handle Applebees being closed for a month or wearing a little mask on their face. Americans freaked out when we started imposing seatbelt and drunk driving laws. We are selfish, petulant swine.
Rep. David Joyce on Trump saying girls should have fewer dolls: "The idea that the Christmas trade is already starting to slow down and there might be less around, I get it. I think the American people will understand that because the American people understand shared sacrifice."

If you open the anti-trans HHS report’s appendix in NotePad, you’ll see that it was compiled by Alex Byrne.

The appendix is a rigorous, scientific overview of systematic reviews.

Alex Byrne is an MIT philosophy professor with no apparent background in science, let alone expertise in it.

A couple weeks ago, I wrote that the MAHA movement does not want to eliminate chronic illness- it wants to eliminate the chronically ill. Since then, RFK Jr’s actions and statements have only reinforced my belief that his HHS will target disabled and sick ppl.

RFK Jr.'s "MAHA" movement doesn't want to eliminate chronic illness. They want to eliminate the chronically ill.
Public health, modern medicine and disease mitigation will suffer under RFK Jr. because he sees sick people- not sickness- as the problem.

I feel like a broken record

But

Again

A main purpose of anti trans laws/policies is to remove cis women from public life and reinforce patriarchal gender norms

Bigots relied on cis women voting against their interests bc of a fake panic about public bathrooms
Not only this — and this is a big deal — but how on earth will the police ensure that male officers won’t be allowed to search cis women who look a bit butch and can’t prove they’re women?
if I understand correctly, the campaigners wanted (in their words) to stop trans women officers with a gender recognition certificate searching women.

and, in response, the police have decided to allow male officers to search trans women.

not sustainable. www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2025...

Part of eugenics is wanting disabled people to not be visible to society.

This week, as the number of confirmed measles cases rose to 483, the CDC buried a report that would’ve stressed the importance of getting vaccinated.

The move was “not normal at all,” one agency staff member said.

The CDC Buried a Measles Forecast That Stressed the Need for Vaccinations
The move — along with the CDC’s explanation — is a sign that the nation’s top public health agency may be falling in line under HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a longtime critic of vaccines.
