Also, for 2026's sake, the other consideration is $7.99 allows you to discount 38.5% before you actually hit $5, which makes up for the ridiculously high 30% platform fee things like Steam charge, so you still get to pay salaries even when you're then forced to discount deep deep for sales placement

I've seen a few people declare I'm a successful writer and that's very kind but the basis for this seems to be because I write a lot. A page needs single-digit views to make my daily top 10. I am financially barely scraping by. I do need people to share/support my work, it doesn't magically get seen
