Canceling Verizon altogether is definitely on my radar, losing the landline, which is all scam calls now, switching from cable to streaming. But the last time I looked into it, streaming was so piecemeal and crazy hardware-wise (a wall antenna?), I gave up. My TV struggles to get to Amazon Prime.

Veterans Day is a truly sacred holiday for me. My Dad was a medic in 'Nam and my brother is career Air Force.
I didn't serve...but I was born in the (now demolished) Hospital on Otis AFB (now Otis Base Cape Cod) just a couple miles from where I live now.

I've been on hold with Verizon 20 min. trying to activate a 1-year $25 discount on my bill (to offset the $25+ they recently raised it). They couldn't just put an "activate" button in the email because it's more fun letting me sit on hold all afternoon to beg them for some of my fucking money back.
