As America builds up towards a war with Iran, it gives me hope that republicans promise this will be a fast and clean operation. This is much different than Iraq which was promised to be a slow and awful quagmire.

That phrase "triggers tensions" is doing an awful lot of work here, when the article text makes it quite entirely clear that ICE beat the man halfway to death and then acted like they couldn't be held accountable for it

There should be public dialogue from Dem leaders about what the medium-long term political strategy against Trumpism is. They don't want impeachment (not enough votes) so what can a Dem congress do that's more effective? Is there a philosophy other than "Vote for us and hope something good happens?"
