I hope this is true. The Atlantic is supposedly off the table for more offshore oil & gas drilling. Why? Strong opposition by R's who correctly fear the impact to coastal tourism and recreation.

Not too surprisingly, the Trump admin has plans to open both coasts to offshore drilling including in protected areas, with one notable exception. Florida. I wonder why? 🤔

I think our federal income tax should be channeled through the state you live in, so if your state contributes more federal dollars than it receives, that can be used as federal bargaining power.

No more offshore oil drilling off of California (or anywhere else).

It was regulatory loopholes that led to the last spill here in 2015.

I spent 3 days in Chicago in mid-July for the Aspen Ideas Climate conference. It was my first visit to Chicago in 30 years. I was struck by how beautiful, clean, and park rich it was, and how friendly people were. I walked around day & night and felt safe.
