Your daily reminder that income inequality and racism are the dual cancers rapidly gnawing away at the fabric of American society. But, unlike racism, we can fix income inequality just by changing the tax code.

There will never be a time, when we *aren't* voting for the "lesser evil."

There's no perfect candidate. It would be absurd to believe you and a candidate agree 100% on everything. At best, you vote for the viable candidate you disagree with least.

That is, by definition, the lesser evil.

Hey, it's NOT Nazi-style fascism because our federal police kidnapping people from their cars and homes and public streets and stealing them away into secretive prisons are wearing face masks to protect their identities, whereas in Hitler's Germany, they didn't have to.

Am I missing some key context, or is it actually true that the GOP position is that poor people can't eat unless enough Democrats vote with Republicans to reduce access to healthcare? Because that's what it seems to boil down to.

It seems pretty obvious at this point that T's not doing all this to quell existing unrest, but rather getting ready for the uprising that will occur when he and his toadies actually start doing everything they want to (Constitution, laws, courts, and common decency be damned).

Most Americans may not give a shit about climate change, but I'm going to continue fighting it every chance I get. The path we're on will make climate change the biggest existential threat humanity has faced globally in recorded history.
Duh. Those of us on the ground last year actually speaking with middle class/working class voters and who heard from these voters every single day the same - “Trump is an asshole, but Democrats are out of touch” - could’ve saved my new political party a lot of time & money producing this “report.”👇

Not a nuke had to be used to topple the United States...just get a gullible, compromised, venal idiot elected and he'll open the gates from the inside.
The East Wing was built in 1902 & rebuilt in 1942, long after asbestos was used as a fire retardant. So, I’m sure the White House took steps to prevent a known carcinogen from entering the air during the current willy-nilly demolition.

Kidding! These irresponsible assholes don’t care who they kill.

Ohio lawmakers who want to replace property tax - something only property owners pay - with a 400% increase in income tax - something everyone with income would pay - is ridiculous. Beyond the obvious unfairness, it disincentivizes people to own their own homes. Stupid.

I've been saying for over a decade now that wealth inequality and racism are the two cancers eating away at American society. And only one of those can be fixed simply by adjusting the tax code.
The 400 richest Americans are now worth a record $6.6 trillion.

The entire bottom 50% of America is worth just $4.2 trillion.

Read that back.

When 400 people control more wealth than half a country’s population, we have a very serious problem.
