Our paper about the flow of nocturnal bird migration through Colombia is finally out today in #ProcB! Using weather radars operated by the #IDEAM, we found that low variability in wind underlies a pace of migration that is far more gradual than at temperate latitudes. #Ornithology 📡🪶🇨🇴

I have to fan-girl for a minute here. My friend @rosvall-lab.bsky.social built an app to gather data on bird behavior during the 2024 solar eclipse. 10,000+ citizen scientists contributed (including my kids), and the resulting paper was published in Science today!

Hey, KOTZ in my hometown could use some support. This one radio station serves an area the size of Indiana, as in, it's the only radio station in the entire area. The area is also primarily Inupiaq.

A man just called into CSPAN saying Dems don't care about the debt and that's why he's a Republican now so he's happy about this bill. This Republican bill adds nearly 4 trillion to the debt.
