This is going to be one of those “nothing goes right” games, isn’t it??

Back from a long stint in Europe. This is the first game I’ve gotten to watch and…um…wow.

just saying: if you didn't grow up crafting a default answer to "what are you/where are you from?" with some version of "what do you mean?" you may want to consult people who did about what's going on here

My gut still says that the Pacers thought they were the only ones who could pay him and were leaning on that perceived leverage when Milwaukee made one of the most low-key surprising moves in league history and pulled the rug out from under them. They may not have even been given a chance to match.

Sorry to hear this. Hope she’s ok. A true one-of-one Legend

We really need to have an intervention for the Amazing Sladek before an even worse fate befalls him.
The iconic Red Panda just left the court in a wheelchair after falling less than a minute into her famed halftime act.

She briefly got up, with assistance, appearing to hold her back, before she was eventually taken to the back of Target Center in a wheelchair

All the Pacers fans who are furious at Simon’s need to go look at what people are saying about what the Bucks did to create this situation.

Just saying. The grass is always browner on the Milwaukee side of the fence.

On the human element side of things, this feels lousy after all the “getting guys who want to be here” talk from the FO the past few years.

What message does this send to the other guys in the locker room??
After 10 years, Myles Turner is no longer the center of attention for for the Pacers.

On losing a franchise fixture while searching for a potentially better long-term fix & why this might be an opportunity to take a step forward by taking a step back:

Big THANK YOU to Myles Turner for 10 amazing years, through the rollercoaster ride of three different eras of the franchise, and endless trade rumors.

An all time Pacer. Best of luck! (But really, fuck the Bucks)

(1) I might cry a little
(2) Waiving Dame to do this is dirty work. I get it for the sake of Giannis, but damn.
FROM SHAMS:

BREAKING: Free agent center Myles Turner has agreed to a four-year, $107 million deal with the Milwaukee Bucks, plus a player option for year four in 2028-29 and a full 15% trade kicker, sources tell ESPN. Stunner.

Imagine what America could look like if we took all the AI/ML money and invested it in HI/PL

The tech fetish needs to slow. It’s past time to reground ourselves in humanity.

Speaking as someone who works in the industry, showing an injury that gruesome and devastating no less than eight times on the broadcast is unconsciousable. Completely unprofessional and grotesque and literally no one else in the industry does that. I honestly think people should lose their jobs.

Props to @tonyreast.bsky.social and @caitlinmaycooper.bsky.social.

They are incredible talents who do great work for Pacers fans. As someone who used to be on the media side of things, I know the grind is daunting compared to the rewards.

Their work is invaluable. They should both be very proud.

Like none before and perhaps none after. Unlike anything I’ve ever had the privilege to witness.
The 2024-25 Indiana Pacers forever. I don't know what else to say about that group. I'm going to miss watching them. One of the all-time gutsiest, most resilient basketball teams in NBA history.
