Extreme moderate.
I remember feeling extremely proud of the Adam Ant typewriter picture I produced in ?1982 following a pattern in Jackie magazine. I now feel somewhat humbled. 😵
Holy shit, just learned about the typewriter art of Montserrat Alberich Escardívol, a Catalan typist. Using an extra wide typewriter and 180 color ribbons, she built up elaborate images from simple characters like 'm' and '.' and ';'. Here is her typewritten painting of the Cathedral of Barcelona.

A good example of someone using "economically inactive" to mean "available for work but choosing not to" and forgetting it covers students, early retirees, carers, severely disabled people, parents with very young children etc...
What on earth is this nonsense from a Blue Labour MP?

What, you want a policy targeting zero illness, no full time caring responsibilities, no skills mismatches or career breaks and you think we should heavily crack down on migration until we get there?

Just not serious policy/politics.

Imagine being the governing party of the day and the (only?) person representing you on Newsnight the evening that your PM’s team has set fire to his support base is… Lord Glasman. You’d have to laugh.

*tiny voice* all in favour of a new pedestrian crossing, but any chance of repairing and reopening the much less glitzy but highly convenient footbridges in Jesmond Dene which are currently closed indefinitely? 🤔 😒

I have a longstanding dislike of
a. mince pies, b. 'pop' being used instead of 'put', c. Christmas, d. twee rhymes.
That's a no from me. 😒👎 #bahhumbug

Glad that someone has finally taken responsibility for the appalling assault on democracy that was the Jan. 6 insurrection.

Slightly confused that it's the Director-General of the BBC, but what do I know?

The colours didn't last long but today's sunset over the River Alde was a treat. Very glad I made the effort to go out with my camera.

One of the South Shields trains goes directly to South Shields, the other an elaborate route via Wallsend and Tynemouth and takes an hour longer. Same for St. James - do you want the two minute or 80 minute journey? How are visitors supposed to know?
I realise it's not the most urgent issue, but Metro's insistence on using destinations to identify trains on a *looped route* makes its real-time info completely unintuitive for a regular, let alone a tourist. 🤷‍♀️ There are two South Shields and two St. James' trains but they're completely different.

This is a particular favourite - the idea that some voter in Crewe or Carlisle will remember in 2029 that their MP sent a tweet congratulating the newly elected New York Mayor and judge on his record accordingly, guys most people barely know who the Prime Minister is, you have Twitter brain rot

perhaps not the same, but one of the oldest books in The Parker Library (poss the Augustine Gospels?) has a simple but beautifully coloured picture of an eagle captioned not "Aquila" but "IMAGO aquilam" just in case anyone looked at it and went "but that's NOT an eagle, it's a PICTURE of one"
