Assistant AG for Civil Rights Harmeet Dhillon decided not to have the Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division open an investigation into the fatal shooting of Renee Good by an ICE officer in Minneapolis. A step federal civil rights prosecutors have always taken in officer-involved killings.

The images coming out of Iran are heartbreaking.

Security forces have killed so many protesters. We’re talking thousands. Maybe tens of thousands.

Another account of this rapid ICE surveillance:
I pulled up next to one at 10:17am yesterday an snapped a photo. By 10:27 the agents I photographed were in front of my house, along with another vehicle that met them there. It's a 10 minute drive from where I took the photo to my house - so they got the data *instantly*

Guys I think they're instantly getting DVS data.

Pulled up next to this guy on central going south in Columbia heights, followed him, they turned around, got on 694, crossed the river, and went straight to my house in Brooklyn center.

46% support abolishing ICE
43% oppose abolishing ICE

This is the first time that abolishing ICE has received net positive support

I need for everyone to stop repeating this idea that immigrants of any status are not, by law, afforded due process in the United States.

What ICE and this administration is doing by preemptively deporting people without their day in court is a violation of the 5th and 14th Amendments.

It's 10am in Minneapolis and rapid response is underwater, reports of chemicals deployed already.

As others have pointed out, the ratio of feds (with more arriving) to residents and square mileage here is extreme compared to what we experienced in Chicago.

We are in freefall.

Any Democratic votes to fund DHS later this month as Minneapolis is being terrorized by DHS is going to be a major slap in the face to Americans living here. Demand major reforms or shut the government down.

And all this community safety is entirely organized and executed by residents. There are almost no government institutions providing help. It is people-led. Individual council members are making huge contributions, but The City is doing very little, The State even less.
People who aren't in Minnesota might not know that if you drive or walk past pretty much any school, there's going to be a group of people, parents and childless, standing guard to make sure the kids are safe from feds. It's pretty remarkable. And very disturbing. www.mprnews.org/story/2026/0...

Judge Menendez sharply questioning that contention.

Face it.

ICE HAS ALIENATED AMERICANS by slamming their victims faces into the ground, wearing mask, not identifying themselves and using aggressive “Gestapo” tactics on immigrants & citizens alike. Americans are resisting, as they should.

It is time to defund ICE!
