I’m from the UK and took an interest in politics after the 2016 referendum. Brexit has not worked and now there is Trump again. I’m a 75 year old Granny who likes gardening and history especially the Tudors. I’m enjoying Blue Sky.

So today I found out that my TED talk ‘This is What a Digital Coup Looks Like’ was TED’s most watched talk of the year.

It’s sort of amazing & terrifying. Because this *is* what a digital coup looks like.

It is absolutely wild that the guy who won’t stop yelling about law and order is now personally stepping in to keep January 6 documents hidden from the police officers who were attacked that day. He knows exactly what’s in those files and he is terrified the country will see it.

Great news that the Lib Dem motion to join the EU Customs Union passed, so that it can now be debated properly in Parliament.
Special thanks to the 13 Labour MPs who supported the bill, but maybe it should have been more?
It’s obvious to everyone that the current deal is not sufficient.🇪🇺

🚨BREAKING🚨

MPs have voted to PASS our bill to establish a UK-EU customs union.

The Prime Minister must now listen to his own MPs, drop his self-imposed red lines and finally go for proper growth through an ambitious trade deal with the EU.

New Home Office impact assessment finds that cutting skilled and social care visas will cost the UK up to £10 billion with a central estimate of -£5.4 billion.

It would be good if this got even a fraction of the coverage devoted to the endless debate about boats, flags and Turkish barber shops

What a victory! Today MPs narrowly backed our bill to cut the Brexit red tape and end this economic nightmare.

Just one more chapel in Sunderland this time... I promise!

This is a cracking little place of worship, and very typical of many Methodist congregations to go for a bit of a classical influence without the frolics or ornamentation.
