I think what frustrates me here is the lack of discussion on Forge Combo/The One Ring in the article.

As many have pointed out, Mamdani didn't stand apart from our trans brothers and sisters. He didn't play the "Gee, gosh, it sure is complicated," milquetoast moderate card. And he crushed.

Watched the TMI documentary on Netflix and I really cannot comprehend how fucking insane anti-nuclear people are in it. Wild how biased the documentary was and how uninformed people are about nuclear power/radiation and I say that as someone that's lived near TMI and Limerick my entire life lol

On 10/9 I privately celebrated my best friend's life 12 years after it ended as I do every year. I often wonder how different our lives would be if he were still with us. Never doubt that you are important to at least one person and your absence would change their life entirely.
There are many people whose lives are so much better for having you in it.

I had a really good time at EW. It's only right that two days after I come home I am reminded that magic players are insufferable to talk to online. If the gathering ever goes away again I'd be gone so fast.

This is a great decision by Card Titan and I am grateful for it. At the last 3 events I attended where Joe was in attendance, he made inappropriate jokes about women, trans people, and made racial comments about Asian women. He makes events unsafe and inhospitable to women and lgbtq+ people.
A group of losers put together an open letter to @cardtitan.bsky.social criticizing their decision to ban Joe Brennan from Eternal Weekend this year.

Nah man a big part of why the UB stuff makes me sad is cause I know it's extremely popular so they're going to keep doing it despite it making the parts of the game I deeply care about worse. Like I know a bunch of people are going to buy the 6th marvel set but that doesn't make my FNM fire.
Hearing the conversations around the con, I think heavily enfranchised online folks significantly overestimate how much their opinions on Universes Beyond are shared by the wider player base.
