Across 80 groups, intergroup contact was consistently associated with lower prejudice.

The type of group and type of contact did not matter.
My first paper with @erichehman.bsky.social and @acceb.bsky.social is out! We tested intergroup contact across many different types of groups:

This is a big problem, regarding methods & also disciplinary norms. As an interdisciplinary scholar, I often face crossness from reviewers who think their way of doing things is the only valid one. Let's normalize admitting when something is outside our wheelhouse & remaining open minded.

CFP: Voluntas Special Issue on Philanthropic Foundations and Justice Philanthropy - www.istr.org
Over the past decade, there have been growing criticisms that philanthropic foundations, which include a variety of grant making organizations, are elitist and inattentive to the needs of marginalized communities. While private foundations and community-based grant makers across the globe have slowly responded to these critiques, COVID-19 and the racial justice movement of 2020 have highlighted the imperative of addressing issues of inequality and structural racism. This convergence is propelling what may be the most substantial change in philanthropy in generations—a commitment to systematic change and the adoption of philanthropic practices that seek to redistribute philanthropic power to previously marginalized communities.

FAILURE IS NORMAL
I fail a lot. My work is constantly rejected. Reviewers sometimes thrash my work harshly. And I've also had successes. People mostly see the success.

Let's avoid comparing our insides to other people's outsides.
