When officials suggest they will step up ops if a judge issues a lawful order, they blur a line between enforcing law and challenging the courts’ constitutional role. By portraying themselves as needing to “push past” oversight, they erode separation of powers, a pattern our assessment warns about.
Bovino: "Whether they were criminals or individuals that were taking jobs from Americans -- you name it, that's what they were doing. And I'll tell you what's gonna happen. We're gonna go even harder on the streets. If he releases those 650, we're gonna apprehend 1,650 on the streets of Chicago."

A raid with helicopters and TV cameras arrested 37. Stephen Miller said the complex was “filled with TdA terrorists” and the raid “saved God knows how many lives.” Prosecutors haven’t charged any with crimes or terrorism. That gap between spectacle and substance should alarm all of us.
A Black Hawk helicopter. SWAT teams repelling to the roof. 300 agents. Flash-bang grenades. A TV crew.

“It’s 20,000 of them running through my house like we got Saddam Hussein in the closet."

For all that, fed prosecutors filed no criminal charges against anyone who was arrested.

Stunning report.
