We're heartbroken by the loss of a cyclist on Beacon Ave. This tragedy is a devastating reminder that safe street design must be paired w/ driver accountability, safer speeds, & leaders' urgent action to prevent traffic violence. Our hearts are w/ the rider’s loved ones & the Beacon community.
Just after midnight last night, a driver struck and killed a 38-year man who was riding his bike at Beacon Avenue S and S Stevens Street in a hit-and-run.

Had a fun time leading a group through windy weather to check out some cool transit stuff with the occasional detour to see something interesting as we went from the CID to a lake overlook & eventually Mount Baker station. And no rain!
