If you're an elected Democrat, take note that reading Bluesky would've alerted you to this shift starting to happen months ago while your centrist consultant said then and still says now that everybody loves Trump on immigration.

No, they don't, especially not people who might vote for you.
Gallup has new polling on immigration. Topline findings:
-Americans hate Trump's immigration policy (35% approve, 62% disapprove)
-Share who say immigration is a "good thing" for the country just hit an all-time high (79%)

Pundits hate simplicity. If something is simple you don’t have to have pundit expertise to explain it.

Trump Cabinet now has a public record as the stupidest Cabinet in history.

This isn’t complicated. They are stupid rich people. Any analysis that doesn’t begin with their stupidity is stupid.

And from the WSJ no less

“Americans are being told to accept the pain of higher prices, a slower economy, and shrinking 401(k) balances in the name of Mr. Trump’s project to transform the American economy into what he imagines it was like in the McKinley era of the 1890s.

Any normal judge worth his ethics would be beyond embarrassed by this brazen display of corruption.

How stupid!
By “go into”, he means “get invaded.”
REPORTER: Do you view Ukraine as an equal member of this peace process?

TRUMP: Ummmm ... it's an interesting question. I think they have to make peace. That was not a good war to go into.

- a sympathetic ear/voice installed as DNI
- the release of a crime boss
- Hegseth ceding Crimea to them
- Trump offering a WH visit
- The US acting as middleman rather than Ukraine ally

This underscores the arguments I made in the piece/thread below about why Treasury's defense of Musk's access is such a sham.
