Great film! I never want to watch it again! But you should!
"Mary Bronstein’s portrait of a mother pushed to her limits would be almost comedic in extremity were it not for the brutal, brilliant construction of its cyclone of horrors"

If I Had Legs I’d Kick You: Film review – The Skinny
Rose Byrne gives a brilliant, harrowing turn as a frazzled mother being put through the wringer in this impeccably put-together black comedy that's as repellent as it is compelling.

Ooo, this is very incorrect, @apnews.com. You may not have to get permission from a long-dead composer, but you absolutely do need permission from the people who own the specific recording you’re using, which is generally not in the public domain yet.

Step into the radical world of Ann Lee. 🙌

From filmmaker Mona Fastvold, The Testament of Ann Lee stars Amanda Seyfried in a transformative, awards‑nominated performance that illuminates the fierce conviction behind the Shaker movement.

my thoughts about Barbican Sunday -
- The leads are *excellently* cast
- It's not a bad thing an entirely new audience will be introduced to one of Sondheim's (imo) trickiest and most beautiful works
- If said new audience misbehaves, it's war
