something I've been thinking about if/when we retake power is we're really going to need to shock & awe the elites with accountability. hit em hard and fast. gotta break the entire system and don't give it time to regroup.
Important to understand the Epstein stuff and the fascism and the corruption are, in a lot of ways, really all the same story from different angles: powerful men who can and do abuse vulnerable people around them because they can, and because systems of elite accountability catastrophically failed

Disturbing article.

This is likely what is happening in 🇨🇦 as well, and it's disgusting. 🤬They buy them up, charge exorbitant rents, plus it skyrockets home prices, so most can't afford even the most basic of homes. Why is this not regulated somehow?!
How corporations are buying up houses — robbing families of the American Dream
One morning in 2012, Phoenix real-estate developer Geoff Jacobs was playing golf when he got a surprising phone call. One of his employees, trying to bid on a house they wanted at auction, told him…

CBC just reported on Petition e-6679 — a call to hold MPs accountable for spreading disinformation.

Poilievre wants CBC gone because it’s the one Canadian voice that fact-checks his fearmongering. Without it, lies win.

A high GDP means nothing to those who see few to none of its benefits
The typical Canadian has a higher standard of living than the typical American. We are healthier, live 3 years longer, face much less inequality and are happier. These outcomes are not accidents. They reflect deliberate policy choices.”
