I would also amend that people can stop couching their enjoyment of a thing in this haughty "It's good, *for (media IP)*" language. Andor was awesome, you enjoyed a Star War, stop acting like you're of a loftier stock than people who like seeing lightsabers touch other lightsabers.
Modern politics discourse is I've felt trapped in a time loop of the "from my point of view the Jedi are evil" scene for ten whole ass years except it's the entire media establishment yelling non-stop that you're the problem for not accepting the most horrific fuckers imaginable as thought leaders

Actually just to elaborate on this point, I can't help but to think about when I read of immigrant mothers crossing the border with children in tow and the danger they both face and are running away from would be something sung as a heroic saga in another age.
As always, my take is Immigrants deserve better than their host countries.

Around when Evanescence's Fallen came out, I was 13/14 and in hindsight a pseudo-mallgoth who just was too shy and self-conscious to actually perform that aesthetic, but anyway I am part of the generation who are incapable of being Just Normal about that album, it's a Core Memory for me. (thread)
