Trump promised while campaigning to make IVF free -- either paid for directly by the government or fully covered by insurance. Today's announcement does not do that (though it could expand access to some patients). It's also angering anti-abortion groups.

I am not surprised by this stance, which several of my sources predicted. I am surprised, however, by how scathing the Trump DOJ was about the arguments put forward by Idaho, Kansas and Missouri for banning the pills.
