After the World Trade Center was attacked (just four miles from Trump Tower), more than 40,000 Canadians in uniform fought alongside their U.S. allies in Afghanistan.

More than 2,000 Canadians were wounded.

These 158 didn't make it home.

And now this guy is giving lectures on gratitude.

USians need to gtf past this handwringing about the US’ world standing being ruined—the plummet started before Trump and will continue after him. Decades of US greed, belligerence, bigotry and overall exceptionalism did this. Trump is the symptom.

“No one can” stop this? Huh. On behalf of the world we’d really love if the many thousands of free and privileged US politicians and leaders would… just try? Are we really to believe that the US’ might can only be wielded externally, and that at home it’s just hopeless hapless babies for miles? Wut.
Trump won't be impeached and he won't be removed from office. We're all going to be forced to watch in horror as he completely destroys America's standing in the world, its economy, and the stability of the world order.

There's nobody that's going to step in to stop this. No one can.

And the grim irony is that carrying your papers isn't enough either. Multiple reports have confirmed the ICE practice of rounding up people in groups and ignoring their offers to show their papers on the spot, then holding them for hours or days or even transporting them to distant places. /2

We live in a time when digital platforms are places we gather. Imagine if X was a physical space, where CSAM and non-consensual porn of women was being projected on walls and displayed on TV screens. Is this a place ANYONE should go on purpose? Is this a place our government should convene?
I will accept no moral high ground from a government that refuses to ban a platform that is actively, in real time, right in front of our faces, creating child sexual abuse materials.

They're not banning it and there are still government departments with official Twitter accounts.

Fuck Carney.
Canada not considering a ban on X over deepfake controversy, AI minister says
The platform, which is owned by Elon Musk, has been embroiled in controversy over sexualized deepfakes of women and children created by X’s chatbot Grok.

Go fuck yourself.
The reports of violence, arbitrary arrests, and intimidation tactics by the Iranian regime against its own people are profoundly concerning. Canada strongly condemns the killing of protesters, and urges Iran to allow for freedom of expression and peaceful assembly without fear of reprisal.
