Asked about his intellect, appearance and accomplishments, Elon Musk’s Grok chatbot consistently hailed Musk as “strikingly handsome,” raved about his “genius-level intellect” and ranked him as the No. 1 human, ahead of Leonardo da Vinci.

What perfect album came out the year you turned 16?

Same year as Lars, but a different selection. Ask me tomorrow and my choices might be completely different.

The stupidity never ends.

Driver behavior once again exonerated and blamed on safe infrastructure needed to protect against that behavior.

Drivers: I know you think you’re doing cyclists a favour by stopping & waving us through an intersection while you’ve got right of way, but you really aren’t. You’re being unpredictable and screwing up the flow of traffic for everyone and just causing further delays for us to safely cross. Stop it.

Same!
Semi-regular reminder to absolutely politicize my death when I’m killed by a reckless driver. I trust you all to take that opportunity and make the most of it, whether to advocate for more public transit, Vision Zero, or bike lanes

I think that @cityofnorthvan.bsky.social should adopt a mandatory policy where any and all road improvements are required to incorporate protected bike infrastructure. Our current pace of implementation is getting us nowhere. This avenue could easily have been made a safe route for active transport.
As predicted, the very worst sort of cycling infrastructure is being stencilled in today. This in a city that keeps promoting active transportation. Critics will say, “Use the MUP” that runs adjacent. Yeah, the one that’s mostly unusable due to its popularity with pedestrians.

Meanwhile in @cityofnorthvan.bsky.social the RCMP regularly set up speed checks outside a single school while ignoring the traffic chaos around the pickup zone of that and nearby schools. In fact, they will ignore parents stopped in fire zones and crosswalks while heading to their speed check.
I love this so much. We need to make car culture take a back seat to people’s safety. #stopcenteringcars.
To address safety issues (bc of drivers) my kids’ school recently changed the pick up process to get rid of the car pick up line entirely.

Caregivers have to park nearby & walk up to the blacktop to get their kids.

It’s calmer, safer, and bikes can still roll right up onto the blacktop.

This incredibly wide avenue was just milled and repaved. A perfect opportunity to add protected bike lanes. Looks like nothing will change, parking on both sides with a road design encouraging speeds higher than the posted limit. I wonder if @cityofnorthvan.bsky.social will put the sharrows back?

Riding the 230 up Lonsdale this wet evening I saw the usual activity; people patronizing shops and restaurants. According to people who lost their shit over pay parking, the street should have been a ghost town by now.

Somehow, I doubt @theicbc.bsky.social or the RCMP will take examples like this to re-think their car centric advice to 'make eye contact". Never mind the already existing problems of this advise with tinted windows, sun glare on windscreens and drivers looking at their phones.
Had a driver completely lose his mind screaming at me, cursing, etc - because I made eye contact with him at a light while I was walking. People are not ok out here man, just wow.

With Montague out, does this mean we can close vehicular access to/from Stanley Park via the causeway now, since he'll no longer need his personal shortcut to City Hall from the North Shore?

Drivers (Red) turning left from Bewick not Marine just aren't paying attention. We need a separate signal!
