Did you add a layer to the roof as well? I’m curious about how the added thickness to the exterior walls interfaces with the roof plane.

Assuming the floor assembly needs to be prefabricated and then lifted onto the foundations?

We had home ec, where we learned some cooking but I already know how to cook by that time. My real education was from my mother who was an RN who worked full time and taught us all to look after ourselves out of necessity. We learned our way around a kitchen or we didn't eat.

Are local food banks doing any fundraising events near you? Here in Vancouver, CBC does this every year and auctions of items with proceeds going to BC food banks.

It's weird how outdoor, pedestrianized malls receive zero pushback from drivers, but as soon as you try to do exactly the same thing on a city or town's Main Street, all hell breaks loose!

Sadly, this is the reality of North American urban living. Drivers don't care and the rest of us have to be constantly on high alert because of it.

I'm noticing a lot of drivers using the dedicated bus lanes and treating them like regular vehicles lanes. I think a lot of people don't know what that diamond means. These would be a good place for automated enforcement.

I had a chocolate Labrador who was obsessive about cigarette butt when he was a pup. Had to stop walking him along the Main Street which was littered with the things. Fortunately, he grew out of it!

So he wants people to occupy houses on dirt where there are no jobs, no services, no amenities…just dirt. Of course he can find a crowd to listen to him in Kelowna.
