How about my poodle with dirty socks?

It's got to be this one. The single "New Rose" changed everything.

Is today’s mail foreshadowing the return of a MEC catalogue?

What perfect album came out the year you turned 16?

Same year as Lars, but a different selection. Ask me tomorrow and my choices might be completely different.

Love the album and it still gets regular rotation.

As predicted, the very worst sort of cycling infrastructure is being stencilled in today. This in a city that keeps promoting active transportation. Critics will say, “Use the MUP” that runs adjacent. Yeah, the one that’s mostly unusable due to its popularity with pedestrians.

This incredibly wide avenue was just milled and repaved. A perfect opportunity to add protected bike lanes. Looks like nothing will change, parking on both sides with a road design encouraging speeds higher than the posted limit. I wonder if @cityofnorthvan.bsky.social will put the sharrows back?

@tonyvalente.bsky.social @hubnorthshore.bsky.social I was nearly hit by 2 cars this morning just after 6am while crossing from the W Keith MUP to the Bewick MUP (Blue arrow) with a walk signal. Drivers (Red) turning left from Bewick not Marine just aren't paying attention. We need a separate signal!

For anyone who rides up/down Pine, across the Arbutus Greenway, be advised that a power pole has been placed against the Jersey Barriers on the South side of the intersection blocking access to the Greenway (red line on photo). @lucymaloney.bsky.social who do I talk to to get this removed?

I love these. I have the Model 1 but have never been lucky enough to find a KLH. The radio that I really want is a round Ekco designed by my great uncle.

Our old electric JennAir cooktop had downdraft venting as well. Very common feature in the 70’s and later. I think they still make them like this, as does Thermador. Our house which was built in 1974 had one like this:

Have you looked at Ortlieb with the roll tops? I have them here in very rainy Vancouver and have never had water inside the bags.

Sadly, the baffle gates at every road crossing (and there are a lot of them) may make riding a recumbent difficult. This was a serious flaw in the design that I don’t think has been remedied, making it difficult for cargo bikes or bikes with child trailers to maneuver.

What’s the point of living in a 15 minute city if I can’t even safely ride my bike to all the shops and services near me? Why should drivers get all the convenience? All of this is within minutes of my home, but there’s no space for people on bikes. @cityofnorthvan.bsky.social why?

I have a Gazelle Ultimate C380 and love it. I’m 6’-3” and my commute is 34kms. The belt drive is amazing. It comes with a rack which my panniers fit nicely. www.gazellebikes.com/en-ca/ebikes...

Sort of a toned down version of the laser-etched vinyl of Split Enz’ “True Colurs” album. Seen here on my trusty P3!

Monty will gladly take pats from you. Especially if offered treats or car rides. And then annoy you with his rambunctiousness.

This residential street has a well documented history of drivers who speed, ignore pedestrians in crosswalks & fly through stop signs. @cityofnorthvan.bsky.social knows it’s a problem. This easily ignored sign is the last resort for a city that refuses to make the changes which make streets safer.
