It’s out and I’m so proud of this! Cleide Lanzetta & I translated #everyversionofyou by @gracechanwrites.bsky.social into Italian for Edizioni SuiGeneris. This novel is a captivating dystopian SCI-FI that will draw you into a moral conundrum, but will also make you imagine & dream new possibilities!

🚨🇪🇺 Brexit WOW moment 🇪🇺🚨

The Brexitgraph Telegraph published a full-blown obituary for Brexit:

📉 GDP down 8%
📉 Investment down 18%
📉 Productivity down 4%
📉 Employment down 4%
❌ No trade benefits
❌ No regulatory freedom
❌ No upside whatsoever

Do you agree it’s time to end Brexit?

Next is Lori Wright speaking about Patient and public involvement in qualitative research. One key point about this is: People we involve in research are not participants they are Partners. We do research together.

I know that not everyone has-sadly-the privilege of peace; or celebrates Christmas or partakes in the celebratory mood. This period can be hard for many. To all of you, especially who is living through a tough period, I wish a warm & cozy time with yourselves & your families (in flesh and in fur)!🫂

Presenting work from Moving Social Work on Identity and Social workers accounting for their PA level in their workplace in focus groups with Joe Webb at #CASW25 conference was very rewarding!
#emca
Wonderful day for the 4th conference on Social Work and #Conversationanalysis, #CASW25.
35 attendees from all over came together to share a wide array of settings, topics & data. This shows the breath of research in the field & how #emca contribute to progressing our understanding of SW practice.1/5

This was great: the idea of not preparing a presentation but being asked some informal conversational questions just to get you talking on what you do, with a small number of lovely people just nodding & smiling, all sitting on sofas & comfy chars is such a fun refreshing format! I loved it! 🥂
In Spring, I became a member of the Senior Common Room at St Chad's College at Durham University.

Next week, on the11/04, I'll have the honour of being interviewed by Colin Crowder as part of the "SCR Conversations".

📣✨We know that times are increasingly difficult in HE, and ECRs often shoulder much of the burden.
We are also in the process of rethinking and reinvigorating the network.

So… we want to put on another in person event, the first for a few years, before strategising our next moves.
