I have never, ever, *ever* worried about "competition" for my writing from LLMs. An LLM might theoretically create a music history podcast someone might listen to. It could never create *mine*.

I was telling one of my kids that it was physically impossible for an ad to play between songs on any of the records I own, and they asked "and you only have to pay for it once?" and you could see how strange that seemed. You cannot overstate how many basic rules of media consumption have changed.

We will not let AI invade the open source or indie dev communities. No point in going open source when you line the pockets of tech bros because you need a machine to write code for you when you can learn how for free using resources written by people who actually know and understand how to code.

2026 will already be better than 2025 for me, because I'll be going into 2026 knowing I'll need to move states. Had no idea I'd need to move just after 6 months of living in an entirely different state when 2025 started. Exes will do that to you i guess.

So... Netflix is going to own DC, Harry Potter, Mortal Kombat, and whatever other Warner Bros franchises you can think of, on top of HBO Max.

While I'm not at #furfest this year, I do want to attend a furcon at some point. I do plan to make MFF my first con since I know ppl IRL who have gone to MFF before. I hope it's not too early to get ready for 2026. This year has been a crazy ride for me and I want to end next year with my friends.
