Participating in my local school board meetings has been an enriching experience. I am thrilled to see LCPS' equity committee will now work in a permanent and far reaching capacity at @lcpsofficial.bsky.social . Thank you for this update @rashidlrlcsb.bsky.social 💜
At yesterday's School Board Meeting, Dr. Linda Deans (Broad Run) recommended changing the Equity Committee from a select committee to a School Division Administrative Advisory Committee.
The majority of the Board voted in favor of this so that the distinct work of the Equity Committee can continue.
