The future of the Winter Olympics is uncertain in our warming climate. If audience travel is 44% of the emissions, could the tickets go to local spectators, and maybe the rest of us just watch them on TV?

New research shows we could power the entire planet for a year if we put solar panels on the land currently used for biofuel. But if we used all that biofuel for aviation - we'd only fuel about 1/3 of flights. Biofuel isn't the fix. Reducing flying & consumption is.

Lisa, half of our Binge Flying couple, loves to travel, but she has absolutely no concept of her 'carbon budget'.

How many trees would you need to plant to offset your flights from last year?

🌳 A baby sapling will absorb 6 kg of CO2 in its first year, growing to 22 kg per year when it matures.

🔈 Let’s debunk common climate myths!

Myth #1 : “A couple of degrees of warming is not that big of a deal.”

Fact: Actually, small temperature rises can throw the world’s delicate ecosystems into disarray, with dire implications for humans and other living things.

Don't get me started about airline loyalty programmes 🤯. Let's reward the biggest polluters by letting them pollute more, for free! But look here, this is a great way to put those polluter points to good use! 👏
Boosting!

ICE just abandons the people they've illegally kidnapped sometimes thousands of miles from home. Help them get home.
Okay! This has already inspired a bunch of DMs, so I made a page on the website. If you have 50,000+ Skymiles and would be willing to book flights to get someone home, please fill this out.

Please spread this far and wide, as stories don't get much bigger than this. When the government blocks even the intelligence services from telling us we're heading for environmental catastrophe, you know we have a problem. A very big problem.
Thank you.

On 1st August last year, 270,000 people passed through Heathrow, it's busiest day ever. And yet the government is still insisting on expanding. If there was ever proof that WE have to take matters into our own hands if we want things to change - this is it.

Two things to learn from this.
1. The rightwing newspapers are lobby groups whose purpose is to advance the class interest of their proprietors.
2. Lobbyists for the rich and powerful lose their jobs if they are not prepared to lie.
