I really hate it when scientists keep saying that “we need to rebuild trust in science,” because it implies that scientists are to blame for the mistrust rather than the millions of dollars of dark money that have funded political attacks on science in order to advance a far right agenda.

Did not know that food banks don't pay sales tax, so their dollar can stretch more!! Cash donate to your local food bank!!
SNAP benefits are under attack during this government shutdown and food banks are picking up the slack.

when I’m old, I won’t hate on the youth. It doesn’t matter how weird, strange, or quirky they are, they’re people who are trying to figure out life on their own terms, just like I’m doing now.

We’re protesting outside the Broadview ICE facility and an agent came out to tell us to go away.

We said we’re exercising our First Amendment rights so he shot the ground with pepper balls and said, “Your First Amendment rights are on the sidewalk.”

I am flummoxed as to why you are tripling down. You don't even... acknowledge that you can have this stance, as is your right, because you, your life, your marriage, your sexuality, and your family are not being targeted by the people you say are doing politics "right." It is astonishing to witness.

I was so fortunate attend the closing performance of Free Shakespeare in the Park's TWELFTH NIGHT on Sunday at the revitalized Delacorte. Sensational theater, freely shared, and a testament to the importance of public arts in NYC.

As I told @19thnews.org: if you plot Democratic candidates on two axes, fight versus fold and transform versus return, in terms of the direction of the party, it’s the people in the fight and transform quadrant that are breaking thru. 19thnews.org/2025/09/kat-...

Do not assume that everything they set out to do is inevitable. They have been successfully fought on multiple fronts, from courtroom wins that have actually stuck to city and state governments that haven't backed down, to activists in the streets organizing against their violence.

The MSNBC commentator saying that most political violence has historically come from the left just once again showed how we suffer from failing to learn history. Lynching, pogroms, race riots, the political violence that ended Reconstruction, and against the Civil Rights Movement. Come on.

Trying to find a good cadence can be hard but the most interesting part is that you put like 1-5 hours into research, 1-2 hrs into writing the article and then the actual hard part of getting people to read it starts.

Sigh. sigh.

You don't need to be in the gym for 2 hours. Seriously.

You can get all the benefits in 40-45 minutes.

See how.

Yep. This is the exact thing that is happening, and let me tell you that one thing I have noticed is that none of these guys have science educations or understand science in the slightest.
I just now realized that some guys think that fancy predictive text can make new scientific discoveries but that doesn’t even make sense.
