Never lost a fight to a leopard.
It continues to amaze me that people have decided Heinlein was a fascist based on this one book. He also won Hugos for space libertarian polycules rebelling against the prison industrial complex and about the deep power of empathy.

His politics were all over the place.
Border Patrol chief Greg Bovino "also revered Starship Troopers, Robert Heinlein's 1959 military sci-fi classic about an interstellar war between humans and alien bugs - a book his sister says he still reads to this day."
An endless amount of deranged details in this interview with Greg Bovino's sister, but most notably that his uncle produced the Jack Nicholson movie The Border and the depiction of the agent as corrupt radicalized him as a 12-yr-old.

"Since then, he was like, 'Dude, I want to do Border Patrol.'"

A doctor said it wasn't a worm? I wonder if he ever corrected his testimony about not paying support to his ex.
“Baby, don’t worry,” he said. “It’s not a worm.”

Goff is looking more like Shadeur and less like Darnold. Not sure if that's good or terrible.

Really looked like he ran into the guy who called fair catch

Did the NFL forget how to mic up the refs?

4/16 is a Michael Porter Jr. stat line, not a qb.

Chiefs got a 45 yarder out of that same pass interference earlier this game.

CBS appears to be building the most generic procedural lineup possible. [Profession] Country is basically perfectly designed to appeal to the "old person who fell asleep during the game" demographic.

I love his strategy of not even making up a lie.
Trump: I had an MRI and the result was outstanding.

Reporter: Was it your brain?

Trump: I have no idea what they analyzed, but whatever they analyzed, they analyzed it well.

Apparently ESPN can't get past the idea that Clemson is good. You don't generally hear unranked teams beating ranked ones described as having "survived ".

Its amazing to see people "just discuss the ideas" of Nazis even when those specific Nazis have already been busted faking data.

Like even by the premise of the stupid idea that you need to hear people out, why discuss data from a guy who fakes data?
As opposed to existing elites who KNOW it is their birthright🙄

These kind of amoralist insinuations are so funny because:

1) No aspirational egoist in the US would ever be stupid enough to hitch her wagon to socialism.

And

2) If anything self-righteous moralism is the real vice of the left.

How do I work this into my congressional dorm plan?
senators should be required to do in-district town halls twice a month and then small round tables selected by lottery with interested constituents the other two weeks. in contact with normal people at least once a week. maybe more.

"We only report things from morally clean sources, now lets get back to talking about Mamdanis college application which we got from a nazi"

every few years it's revealed that the NYT was sitting on information about some horrific thing that public knowledge of would have changed the country's course and for some reason a ton of people still give them money. you can play those games on other sites

This sounds like another way of saying you're happy with your leadership and nothing needs to change.
The sooner we get past internal recriminations and back to fighting united, the better off we all are — the likelier our victory next November.

Content aside, it's kinda shocking ethics for two Justices to give a chearleading speech to a bunch of people involved in cases before them.
the funny thing is, if they actually meant this, that would primarily mean standing up to trump these days.

This blood is on the hands of John Roberts.
One analytical model shows that, as of November 5th, the dismantling of U.S.A.I.D. has already caused the deaths of 600,000 people, two-thirds of them children. https://newyorkermag.visitlink.me/jUzNSc
