What they are doing at Harvard, Columbia, and other universities indicates that they are a bunch of wannabe dictators who want to control American university life.

We need to protect the First Amendment.

It's absolutely critical.

CNBC's Steve Liesman doesn't mince words about the way the White House calculated its tariff rates:

"Nobody ever heard of this formula. Nobody has ever used this formula. So I’m sorry, but the conclusion seems to be the president kind of made this up as he went along... these are off the charts."

COMMENTARY: While much of the discussion around Signalgate has been focused on the issue of sharing highly sensitive information on an open digital platform, what these text messages say about what key administration officials think about the world is equally revealing.
What Signalgate really tells us
Apparently, the U.S. military is for hire, even if there has been no request for its services. And if you want us — you have to pay.

Not getting much attention, but the Senate GOP is about to start voting - to make sure banks can charge higher overdraft fees. Seriously.

Good time to let your Senators know what you think of that.

Rather stunning that not a single participant in the chat said, “Hey guys, should we be talking about this on our phones with Signal?”That suggests this was routine for them, meaning other conversations are being conducted in a non-secure fashion & being hidden from record-keeping.

I've read most of the analyses of the DOGE 2025 "receipts" site. This, from NPR, is the best I've read so far. Some of what they claim to have cut haven't been cut, other "cuts" will incur costs down the road.

NPR says DOGE has made $2B of cuts, not $55B.

DOGE released data about federal contract savings. It doesn't add up
A new government tracker claims DOGE has saved billions from ending federal contracts. But an NPR analysis of the data finds the claimed savings don't add up.
